« Sexual Exploitation of Adolescents and Children »

« what prospects for future generations, what choices of society ? »

art prixThe first edition of the Prizes Fondation Scelles was launched on November 21, 2012 in connection to the protests against violence towards women organized by le Barreau de Paris, privileged partner of Fondation Scelles on this project, and with the support of the la Mairie de Paris.
It is with the same partners that the 2013-2014 edition of the Fondation Scelles awards is launched with the support of the Barreau de Paris, HCEfh and ECPAT France.
The goals for this annual protest were established during the first one:
-alert the public about the realities of an unknown phenomenon of alarming proportions that plagues modern society.
-the participation of talented future professionals of various disciplines which are concerned either directly (legislative field) or indirectly (the media) with the issue of sexual exploitation.

Theme for 2013-2014

couv rm3 2013 minipfThe theme of the first edition of the Prizes was vulnerability, ground over which the activities of criminals and procurers prosper.
The new Global Report on sexual exploitation that Fondation Scelles published on December 2013, acknowledges the unprecedented growth of trafficking and youth sexual exploitation by organized crime networks.
Both grassroots organizations and the police note a terrible tendency of the rejuvenation of victims. The resort to children, even of a very young age, is no longer confined to just a few countries. Recent court cases serve as evidence: European countries, our country, participate in this movement.
It is why, for the 2014 edition of the Prizes Fondation Scelles, the candidates will work on the theme of child and youth sexual exploitation. It will makes us reflect on the future development of this plague committed to future generations and to the social choices with which it confronts us.
