#LastGirlFirst Fight gained new forces on its DAY 3 !

The first 2 days have began with deeply emotional and informative testimonies from survivors and the most vulnerable women and girls, followed by a precise assessment of the realities of prostitution and sexual exploitation in the SAARC region. Today, the World Congress against sexual exploitation gathered representatives of trade unions, parliamentarians and institutions officials, youth and students movements, and actors of the new technologies sector.

Key and powerful messages on DAY 2 of the #LastGirlFirst World Congress in New Delhi !

We must be the change that we want to see”. Sarah Benson opened the World Conference in New Delhi against prostitution with the famous quote by Mohandas Gandhi and added “we can’t ignore what we know about prostitution and its impacts”, and we must gather all the ideas and motivation to take action.

#LastGirlFirst A promising DAY 1 for the World Congress against sexual exploitation in New Delhi

29.01.2017 « We are all part of this movement » said Shanie Roy, young survivor of prostitution, at the opening of the 2nd World Congress against sexual exploitation of women and girls, in front of a crowded auditorium with activists, parlementarians, politicians, survivors of prostitution, representatives of vulnerable women and girls, young abolitionist leaders, trade unions, NGOs from all over the world.

#LASTGIRLFIRST ! D-3 before the second world Congress against the sexual exploitation of women and girls!

CAP International (Coalition for the Abolition of prostitution) and Apne Aap, its Indian member association, who act in support of all prostituted persons and combat against the prostitution system, organize from January 29th to 31st 2017 an international conference entitled #LastGirlFirstin New-Delhi (India) to better prevent and fight against the sexual exploitation of women and girls. The over-representation of the most marginalized and vulnerable women and girls among the prostitution system victims will be highlighted.

Sex tourism : the Fondation Scelles works at young people’awareness

In the framework of the Fondation Scelles’educational actions intending to improve the youth’s awareness so as to better prevent and fight sexual exploitation, Frederic Boisard who is a project responsible at the Fondation Scelles, regularly comes to the Cergy-Pontoise University to speak to tourism students. In January 2017, he presented the national and international stakes of the fight against the resort to the prostitution of others (adults and minors) while travelling professionally or for leisure ; this has been identified as « sex tourism » for many years and is an ever- growing globalized phenomenon.
